Diana Shipping Inc., a prominent player in the global shipping industry focused on dry bulk vessel ownership, has successfully sealed a time charter agreement for its Panamax dry bulk vessel, the m/v Selina, with Ausca Shipping Limited based in Hong Kong. The charter is set at a gross rate of US$11,750 per day, excluding a 5% commission owed to third-party intermediaries. This contract spans a period of a minimum of seven (7) months, extendable up to nine (9) months, having commenced on July 15, 2019. The m/v Selina, boasting a deadweight tonnage of 75,700 dwt, was constructed in 2010. With this agreement, Diana Shipping estimates that it will generate approximately US$2.47 million in gross revenue over the minimum duration of the time charter.

Diana Shipping Inc. has made headlines with its recent agreement, executed through a wholly-owned subsidiary, to extend the existing time charter for the Panamax dry bulk vessel m/v Selina. Partnering with BG Shipping Co., Limited, based in Hong Kong, the new charter deal offers a competitive daily gross rate of US$12,250, which is subject to a 5% commission paid to third parties. This extension will last for a minimum of 16 months, with the potential to extend up to a maximum of 19 months, highlighting a strategic move in the dry bulk shipping sector.

Greek dry bulk shipping company Diana Shipping has successfully locked in new time charter agreements for two of its vessels: the 2012-built Los Angeles and the 2010-built Selina. The Los Angeles, a Newcastlemax vessel with a deadweight tonnage of 206,104 dwt, will extend its service with the Geneva-based SwissMarine Services S.A. for a timeframe of thirteen to fifteen months, concluding no later than April 22, 2018. This new charter deal, effective from January 22, 2017, boasts a daily gross charter rate that exceeds the Baltic Exchange's BCI_2014 average for five pre-determined time charter routes by 14%. Notably, SwissMarine has been utilizing the Los Angeles since initially chartering it in December 2015. Meanwhile, Diana Shipping has also entered into a charter agreement with Hong Kong's BG Shipping Co., securing the Selina for a period ranging from nine to twelve months. These agreements reflect Diana Shipping's strategic efforts to enhance its fleet operations in the dry bulk sector.
