On September 30, 2023, MISC Berhad, a premier provider of energy-related maritime services, proudly celebrated the naming and delivery of its latest Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carrier, the Seri Camellia. This cutting-edge vessel boasts a capacity of 150,200 CBM and marks the inaugural launch in a series of five MOSS-Type LNG carriers commissioned from Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (HHI). Each of these advanced carriers is set to enhance MISC's fleet, with plans to charter the vessels to PETRONAS for a significant duration of 15 years. The ceremonial event took place at the HHI Shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea, and was attended by distinguished figures, including Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Sidek Hassan, Chairman of PETRONAS. The vessel was officially named by its Lady Sponsor, Y. Bhg. Puan Sri Dato’ Wan Noorlina Wan Hussin, marking a memorable milestone in MISC's journey toward sustainable maritime excellence.
