Front Panther Faces Engine Malfunction Near Pembrokeshire
On August 27, 2019, the 'Front Panther', a tanker on its journey from Yanbu Industrial, Saudi Arabia, to Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire, experienced a significant setback when its main engine failed. The incident occurred at coordinates 51° 32' 22.8" N, 5° 21' 12" W, approximately 13 miles southwest of St Annes Head, Pembrokeshire. The UK Coastguard was alerted to the situation around 1 p.m. Fortunately, by 3:30 p.m., the vessel's engineering team had successfully resolved the issue, allowing the tanker to resume its voyage. The 'Front Panther' eventually arrived at Milford Haven Anchorage and was securely moored by 7 p.m. It remained at anchorage in position 51° 47.12' N 005° 16.70' W as of August 29.
