Emergency Support Systems Fail on Kovalevych at Gemlik Port
On December 6, 2018, the cargo ship 'Kovalevych' experienced a critical malfunction in its emergency support systems while docked at the port of Gemlik. As a result, the harbour master revoked the vessel's permission to depart until necessary repairs are fully completed. A state surveyor boarded the 'Kovalevych' to assess the repair progress. By December 8, the vessel was still docked at the Roda Liman Container Terminal, with its crew actively engaged in carrying out the required repairs.
