On March 6, 2016, the cargo vessel 'Mom Rayme' encountered engine problems in the southern Dardanelles while heading southbound off the coast of Guzelyali. The ship, which was en route from Odessa to Bejaia, began to drift before a tugboat was dispatched by the Vessel Traffic Control Center to assist.
