Working Conditions Aboard the Sjarmor

On the morning of October 17, 2019, the fishing trawler 'Sjarmor', identified by its IMO number, found itself in a precarious situation approximately 15 miles southeast of Fair Isle in the North Sea, precisely positioned at 59 25 30.0 N latitude and 001 08 58.8 W longitude. The crew of eight aboard the vessel reported a complete failure of the engine, leaving them unable to remedy the issue in the open sea. Fortunately, the fishing vessel 'Sulebas' came to the rescue, towing the 'Sjarmor' back to safety. They successfully arrived at Lerwick's port by 9:30 p.m. the same day, ensuring the crew’s safe return after their unexpected maritime challenge.
