A tragic incident involving an oil worker occurred on August 13, 2014, aboard the 'Skandi Achiever,' which was docked at Aberdeen Harbor in Scotland. James Usher, a 24-year-old trainee rigger employed by Technip, experienced a sudden illness while on the supply vessel. His colleagues promptly alerted emergency services, and he was swiftly transported to a local hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Usher sadly passed away. The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the incident, although preliminary findings suggest that foul play is unlikely. As the case is classified as unexplained, inquiries are ongoing to uncover the full details surrounding this unfortunate event. James Usher joined Technip, a Paris-based company, in October 2013 and had been undergoing training on the dive support vessel at the time of his passing. The results of his autopsy are still pending.

The vessel SKANDI ACHIEVER, with IMO number 9413810, successfully berthed at Chagterms (Trinidad) Ltd on December 19, 2010, at 14:52 hours. The ship is currently moored at the facility, contributing to the maritime activities in the region.
