Sl-Cook Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

On July 1, 2023, Engage Marine, a subsidiary of Westug, officially commenced its towage contract with Grange Resources at Port Latta, located between Stanley and Burnie on Tasmania's northwest coastline. This contract was previously managed by TasPorts. For its operations, Engage Marine has reached a bareboat charter agreement for the vessel SL COOK from Smit Lamnalco. The SL COOK made its way to Burnie from Brisbane, arriving on June 26, 2023, for crew change, restocking, and refueling. It set sail for Port Latta and Stanley the very next day. Unlike its predecessor, TasPorts, which utilized tugs based in Burnie—mainly the KORIMUL in recent years—Engage Marine's SL COOK will remain stationed in close proximity to Stanley to fulfill its contractual obligations.
