A new charter has been finalized for the transportation of 160,000 tons of iron ore from Port Hedland, Australia, to Qingdao, China. The operation is scheduled to take place between November 17 and November 19, 2019. This charter features a rate of $9.20 per ton, with the shipment consisting of 80,000 tons to be loaded under shinc terms and 30,000 tons expected to be discharged under similar conditions for Fortescue Metals Group (FMG).

A Filipino sailor was airlifted to medical care after experiencing symptoms consistent with a heart attack while aboard the bulk carrier Blue Lhotse, stationed off the West Coast. The incident occurred on Thursday, when the ship's captain notified the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) Mykonos around lunchtime, reporting that a 37-year-old crew member was suffering from severe chest pains. The Blue Lhotse was anchored approximately 15 nautical miles from Mykonos and about 8 nautical miles off St. Helena Bay during this urgent situation. Rescuers acted swiftly to ensure the sailor received the necessary medical attention.
