On January 6, 2014, the Seatankers Group proudly welcomed its sixth platform supply vessel (PSV), ‘Sea Spear’, as it was delivered from the Zhejiang Shipyard in Ningbo, China. This impressive vessel showcases ULSTEIN's PX105 design, recognized as one of the most efficient and spacious PSVs available in the market today. Measuring 88.9 meters in length and 19 meters in width, ‘Sea Spear’ boasts a deadweight capacity of 4,500 tonnes, along with a generous loading deck area of around 1,000 m2. Equipped with a cutting-edge diesel-electric propulsion system and a robust electrical package from Ulstein Power & Control, this vessel is designed for optimal performance. The Azipull 100 propellers enable ‘Sea Spear’ to achieve impressive speeds of up to 15.5 knots, affirming its place as a vital asset in Seatankers' expanding fleet, which will eventually comprise twelve PSVs.
