Meanwhile, the 3rd Port Department of Salamina, under the Central Port Authority of Piraeus, has initiated a preliminary investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this accident.

As the winter season sets in, ships have been laid up at the Ambelaki and Kynosoura repair docks located on Salamina Island.
