In a significant move for the maritime industry, US-listed maritime operator Star Bulk Carriers has finalized the acquisition of Oslo-listed Songa Bulk, enhancing its fleet with 15 state-of-the-art bulk carriers. This impressive fleet consists of 3 Capesize bulkers, 10 Kamsarmax bulkers, 1 Ultramax bulker, and 1 Supramax bulker. To facilitate this acquisition, Star Bulk will issue 13.7 million new shares and invest USD 145 million in cash for the fleet.
