Urgent Medical Evacuation from Star Hansa Near Las Palmas
While navigating approximately 20 nautical miles east of Las Palmas on its route from Portocel to Livorno, the bulk carrier 'Star Hansa' initiated a medical emergency response for one of its crew members. The request prompted the Salvamento MarĂtimo's Rescue Coordination Center (RCC) in Las Palmas to swiftly deploy the search and rescue helicopter Helimer 205. The helicopter successfully hoisted the patient and transported him to the Doctor NegrĂn Hospital for immediate medical care.
