Grieg Star, a prominent player in the open hatch and bulk carrier sector based in Norway, has successfully completed the sale of its 2013-built open hatch vessel, Star Louisiana, to a Japanese buyer, whose identity remains confidential. Following the sale, Grieg Star has entered into a 15-year charter agreement to lease the vessel back, with the option to repurchase starting from the third year. This strategic move is aimed at bolstering the company's financial position by enhancing cash reserves. As per the requirements of the new owners, the Star Louisiana will be reflagged to the Marshall Islands.
