On July 19, 2010, at approximately 4:20 PM, the MV Riroil 4 encountered difficulties in the Don Sea Channel while maneuvering to evade an approaching vessel. The ship grounded along the channel's edge near buoys 43-41, primarily due to sudden wind gusts that affected navigation. Fortunately, the vessel experienced a draft loss of only 0.3 meters, and there was no reported spill of cargo or fuel. The tugboat, Pal-4, was promptly dispatched to the scene to provide assistance. However, despite attempts to refloat the MV Riroil 4 during the night, these efforts were unsuccessful, and the vessel remains aground as of now.
