On June 19, 2024, at 12:00 PM, the Port Authority of Mykonos received a report from the captain of the ‘Supercat Jet,’ which had just docked at the port after completing its regular route from Paros to Ios, Thira, and back to Mykonos with 320 passengers aboard. Unfortunately, adverse weather conditions and powerful waves led to an incident where the vessel's anchor struck the starboard side bow, causing significant damage. In response, the Local Ship Inspection Unit conducted an emergency examination of the ferry. Subsequently, the Mykonos Port Authority placed a sailing prohibition on the Supercat Jet, requiring the presentation of a certification of seaworthiness from its overseeing classification society before any further voyages. Meanwhile, all passengers received assistance from the ferry's operating company to continue their journeys safely.

On June 16, 2022, the ferry 'Supercat Jet' encountered mechanical difficulties while traveling the established route from the port of Rafina, making stops at Tinos, Mykonos, Naxos, and Paros. At the time of the incident, the vessel was carrying 327 passengers. Following the technical issues, the ferry diverted to the port of Parikia in Paros. After obtaining a certification from the overseeing classification society, the Supercat Jet was authorized to continue its journey to Rafina, with planned stops at Naxos and Mykonos.

On the morning of September 6, 2019, the ferry 'Supercat' experienced a mechanical failure while carrying 170 passengers on its scheduled route from the port of Piraeus to the stunning destinations of Milos, Folegandros, Thira, Io, Naxos, and Mykonos. In response to the breakdown, the passengers were swiftly transferred to their intended locations using alternative ferries, including the 'Superjet', 'Adamantios Korais', and 'Dionysios Solomos.' Following the incident, the 'Supercat' was temporarily prohibited from sailing pending necessary repairs and a thorough class survey to ensure its safety and operational integrity.
