On February 25, 2016, shortly after noon, a maritime incident occurred off the coast of Kalundborg when the tanker "Minerva Nike," arriving from Ust-Luga, collided with the tugboat "Svitzer Trym" during a ship-to-ship operation. Three tugboats were engaged in towing the "Minerva Nike" toward a designated berth adjacent to the tanker "Ridgebury Lindy B" for a fuel transfer in the picturesque Kalundborg Fjord. Unfortunately, during this maneuver, the "Svitzer Trym" experienced a blackout, leading to the unexpected collision with the "Minerva Nike." While both vessels sustained minor damages, the "Minerva Nike" was able to drop anchor, while the tug returned to Kalundborg, where it was subsequently detained by the Danish Maritime Authority for investigation. The "Minerva Nike" resumed its journey on February 26 at around 4 p.m., heading towards Assens, where it successfully berthed at Assens Skibsvaerft A/S at approximately 10 p.m. Meanwhile, the "Ridgebury Lindy B" set off overnight to a temporary position off the Kalundborg Fjord before continuing its voyage towards Skagen en route to the United States. The authorities cleared the "Minerva Nike" to depart on the morning of February 26.
