Shearwater GeoServices Norway AS has successfully secured a Letter of Award (LOA) from Wintershall Norge AS for an extensive 3D survey of Blocks PL 768/768B in the Barents Sea, as announced in their latest press release. This ambitious survey encompasses an area of approximately 965 square kilometers and will be executed utilizing the Polar Empress, continuing its current operations in the region. Currently engaged in the Maud Extension Multi-Client survey, the vessel is towing an impressive 14 streamers. Looking ahead, Polar Empress is set to embark on an exclusive contract at the end of June, which is anticipated to last over three months. This specialized seismic vessel ranks among the most advanced in the industry, boasting the capability to operate with up to 22 seismic streamers.
