In a startling incident on June 16, 2017, at approximately 12:10 a.m., the luxury yacht 'Tales', carrying 12 crew members and 8 guests, encountered technical difficulties during dredging operations at Marina di Portofino. As the yacht was preparing to depart from the center of the port, issues arose while retracting the anchor, leading to an unexpected collision with several smaller recreational boats moored in the harbor's buoys field. To mitigate the situation, the Italian Navy deployed two inflatable boats alongside the Coast Guard vessel 'GC A96' to assist in stabilizing 'Tales' as it moved slowly.
