US Coast Guard Vigilantly Monitors Chinese Research Fleet in the Arctic
The U.S. Coast Guard remains actively engaged in monitoring a fleet of five Chinese research vessels navigating the U.S. Arctic region. These vessels include the 'Xue Long 2', 'Shen Hai Yi Hao', 'Zhong Shan Da Xue Ji Di', 'Ji Di', and 'Tan Suo San Hao'. The Coast Guard’s Arctic District is diligently overseeing their activities and deployed a C-130J Hercules aircraft from Air Station Kodiak on August 13 for enhanced surveillance of the ships.
