The Bristol Port Company has announced an exciting new shipping service connecting the Royal Portbury Dock to the United States, enhancing trade opportunities from the southwest of England. This new route will be serviced by the roll-on, roll-off cargo vessel Theben, which is owned and operated by the Scandinavian maritime company Wallenius Wilhelmsen. The Theben is set to transport essential heavy construction equipment alongside prominent British-made vehicles, such as Jaguars, Land Rovers, and Minis, to various ports on the East and West coasts of the U.S. "As the closest major UK port to the U.S., we are thrilled to introduce this weekly service, which exemplifies the flourishing car export industry at Bristol Port. Last year, we successfully managed nearly 200,000 vehicles for export, and we anticipate a 20 percent growth this year," stated David Brown, CEO of The Bristol Port Company.
