Timgad Disabled in North Atlantic Due to Electrical Failure

On May 27, 2018, the cargo vessel 'Timgad' encountered a significant electrical setback while navigating the North Atlantic, specifically at coordinates 49° 48' 6.72" N and 3° 25' 21.18" W. The incident was caused by a burnt and damaged electrical card. At the time of the failure, the 'Timgad' was making its way from Antwerp to Algiers and was carrying a substantial load that included 197 metric tonnes of fuel oil, 68 metric tonnes of diesel, and 38,900 litres of lube oil. Unfortunately, no spare parts were available on board to facilitate immediate repairs. After a period of downtime, the vessel successfully regained power and managed to reach Annaba port, docking on June 4 at 12:30 a.m.
