Working Conditions Aboard the Tin-Ujevic

On November 14, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the ferry 'Tin Ujević', operating between Supetar and Split, encountered a malfunction with its hydraulic hose responsible for the loading ramp. As a result, passengers and their vehicles were required to disembark from the vessel using an alternative ramp upon its arrival at Split port. This incident adds to a series of technical challenges faced by Jadrolinija ferries in 2024, particularly concerning loading ramps. Notably, a tragic incident in August involving the ferry 'Lastovo' led to the collapse of a ramp, resulting in the loss of three crew members, with investigations still underway. Furthermore, in mid-August, the 'Tin Ujević' also experienced operational difficulties, necessitating the use of a smaller vessel to accommodate travelers who were scheduled to depart from Split.
