Incident Involves Tokuyo Maru No. 17 at Namikata Oil Reserve
On April 22, 2024, the 'Tokuyo Maru No. 17,' carrying a crew of seven, was involved in an allision with the pier at the Namikata National Oil Reserve Base located in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture. The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m., fortunately resulting in no reported injuries or oil spills. However, the vessel did sustain damage to both its bow and port side.
