In a dramatic turn of events, the ferry 'Torgtind', serving the Igerøy-Horn route, broke free from its moorings during the early hours of December 10, 2011, at approximately 2 a.m. The vessel was untethered due to the forceful winds and subsequently drifted around 100 meters before becoming lodged against the rocks of the breakwater at Igerøy.
