In exciting maritime news, the tugboat Andrė B, identified by IMO number 9451252, has officially been sold and is heading to Norway. This Dutch-registered tug, sporting the call sign PHON, was acquired by TRONDS Marine Service based in Høylandsbygd on July 10th at precisely 10:10 AM. The transaction was facilitated by BV Intershitra S&P, the broker responsible for this successful deal. Following its sale, the vessel has been renamed Tronds Lax. Originally constructed in 2008 by Scheepswerf De Nijs, part of Firma P. Hoebee, the Andrė B has been a noteworthy addition to the fleet and is expected to continue its legacy under its new ownership in Norway.

On March 21, 2023, the Dutch tugboat Andre B, alongside its tow, the barge Excalibur, encountered turbulent conditions while navigating through the Glenan archipelago, approximately 25 nautical miles west of Lorient. The barge, which had deployed its eight stabilization legs during the challenging weather, managed to maintain a stable situation despite the adverse waves. Thankfully, all crew members were reported safe, with seven on the Excalibur and four aboard the Andre B. By the morning of March 22, the tug was positioned near the barge, standing by as it awaited improved weather conditions to continue their journey.
