On December 6, 2012, Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG) reached a significant milestone in shipbuilding by officially delivering the 208-meter RoRo ferry named 'Ulusoy 14' (Hull No. 753) to Turkey's own Ulusoy Sealines. This ferry stands as the largest and longest craft ever constructed by FSG. Peter Sierk, Managing Director of FSG, expressed pride in this achievement, stating, 'With Hull No. 753, we have been able to set a further milestone in the history of our shipyard.' The new ferry will serve the Cesme-Trieste route, taking over operations from four older vessels. Along with her sister vessel 'Ulusoy 15', both ferries are designed to accommodate 283 trailers and offer 4,094 lane meters of space, contributing to a more eco-friendly shipping approach.
