Working Conditions Aboard the Unbridled

On May 14, 2015, the motor yacht 'Unbridled' found itself in a precarious situation when it ran aground at 11:05 a.m. in the Maloy Channel, just off the coast of Miami Beach. The incident prompted swift action from the Coast Guard Sector Miami, which was alerted by watchstanders about the stranded vessel carrying 14 individuals. Responding quickly, the Coast Guard Station Miami Beach dispatched a boat crew to assess the situation and promptly set up a safety zone around the yacht. This included the enforcement of a temporary no wake zone, requiring nearby boaters to keep a safe distance of at least 20 feet from the grounded yacht. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among those on board the 'Unbridled.' To ensure the yacht’s condition was evaluated, the owner enlisted the services of Tow Boat U.S. The following day, on May 15, the yacht was successfully docked in the Overtown area of Miami.
