On November 16, 2023, KOTUG proudly welcomed its latest addition, the RotorTug RT AMBITION, as it docked in Bremerhaven. This impressive vessel embarked on its journey from ASL Singapore Shipyard on September 22, 2023, navigating the waters under its own power. Measuring 32 meters in length and 12 meters in width, the RT AMBITION boasts a remarkable 6,456 BHP and a formidable bollard pull of 84 tons. What sets this tug apart is its innovative maneuverability, attributed to its three propulsion units that can rotate 360 degrees independently. As the 11th member of a fleet of 14 sister vessels, the RT AMBITION contributes to KOTUG's extensive fleet expansion and renewal initiative. These state-of-the-art tugs are constructed at Niigata Shipyards in Japan and ASL Shipyard in Singapore, marking a significant advancement in tug technology and operations.
