In a notable maritime transaction, a vessel has been successfully sold for $7.8 million to buyers from Vietnam. This deal underscores the growing interest and investment from Vietnamese stakeholders in the maritime sector, reflecting a trend of increasing activity and engagement in shipping and vessel acquisition in the region.

The bulk carrier Delfa has successfully docked at Mongla Port on February 9, 2018, following an intensive salvage operation. The vessel encountered significant main engine issues while navigating near Colombo on December 4, 2017. In response to the emergencies faced, a Letter of Undertaking (LOF) was signed with Tsavliris Salvage (International) Ltd. to assist in salvaging the ship. After successful towing, the Delfa reached the Colombo Roads on December 12 and remained there until setting sail again on January 20, 2018.

The bulk carrier 'Delfa,' which faced main engine challenges off the coast of Colombo on December 4, 2017, has successfully completed repairs and is now en route to Mongla. The vessel was towed into port after a Lloyd's Open Form (LOF) agreement was established with Tsavliris Salvage (International) Ltd. Following its arrival at Colombo Roads on December 12, the Delfa departed on January 20 at 8:30 PM. It is expected to reach Mongla by January 25.
