The inaugural journey began on January 28, with the car carrier Viking Drive setting sail from Acapulco, Mexico, loaded with finished vehicles from both Mexico and North America. This significant milestone in automotive shipping saw the Viking Drive reaching Yokohama on February 19, marking the beginning of its operations in East Asia. This innovative service not only represents the first direct car transport route from the west coast of Mexico to the west coast of North America but also facilitates efficient logistics to China, where demand for imported vehicles is rapidly increasing.
