Jul 10, 2010 14:14

On July 8, 2010, the vessel 'Quo Vadis' faced an unexpected issue with its propulsion system, prompting a call for assistance. The distress signal was initially directed to 'Peter Henry von Koss' in Egersund; however, due to ongoing repairs, this ship was unable to assist. The rescue boat 'Ægir,' stationed in Farsund, responded promptly and reached the stricken vessel within two hours, arriving at around 11 p.m. Following the rescue, 'Ægir' began towing 'Quo Vadis' towards Egersund, located approximately 30 miles to the north. Once repairs on 'Peter Henry von Koss' were finalized, the vessel joined the tow operation, successfully aiding in bringing 'Quo Vadis' to the quay. Divers were then deployed to conduct a thorough inspection of the vessel's propulsion system.
