A fresh charter has been finalized for the transportation of 170,000 metric tons of ore from Dampier, Australia to Qingdao, China. The agreed rate for this shipment stands at $5.65 per ton, on a free in and out (fio) basis. The scales for loading are set to handle the entire cargo, while a discharge rate of 30,000 tons per day will be facilitated at the destination, managed by Rio Tinto.
