VOS Fairness Makes Its Debut in Aberdeen After Voyage from China
The latest addition to Vroon’s fleet, the VOS Fairness, has officially arrived in Aberdeen after a significant journey from Nanjing East Star Shipyard in China. This impressive Class-A Emergency Response and Rescue Vessel (ERRV) is not just a marvel of engineering; it features two daughter craft and one fast-rescue craft, making it well-equipped for various maritime scenarios. VOS Fairness is part of an ambitious newbuilding initiative that includes 10 vessels: six 50-meter ERRVs being constructed in Nanjing and four 60-meter Fast Supply Vessels (FSVs) at Fujian Southeast Shipyard, also located in China. Designed with a pioneering wave-piercing bow, VOS Fairness minimizes wave impact, thus enhancing onboard comfort and boosting fuel efficiency as highlighted by Vroon. In addition, the vessel is designed with a drop-down Aquamaster, further improving crew comfort and operational efficiency in the North Sea, where the VOS Fairness will be operating out of Aberdeen. The vessel is set to commence a long-term charter beginning on October 1.
