Vroon Welcomes VOS Glory to Its Fleet
Vroon is excited to announce the successful delivery of the VOS Glory, which took place on Wednesday, January 28, 2023, at the Fujian Shipbuilding Trading facility in Fuzhou, China. The VOS Glory measures 60 meters and serves as an emergency response and rescue vessel/field-support vessel (ERRV-FSV). This vessel is the second in a lineup of four advanced FSVs currently under construction at the shipyard for Vroon. Characterized by their innovative wave-piercing bow designs, these vessels are built to withstand the rough conditions of the sea. The remaining two FSVs are expected to join the fleet within the upcoming months. Vroon has placed a significant order for a total of 22 offshore-support vessels at Fujian Southeast, with timelines for delivery spanning from 2014 to 2016. The VOS Glory was officially named in a ceremony held last November, where Mrs. Carina Doggen, the partner of Mr. Rudy Snouwaert—Operational Accounting Supervisor at Vroon Ship Management B.V. since 1978—performed the christening. The VOS Glory is now set to navigate towards the North Sea, where she will be operated by Vroon Offshore Services Aberdeen. We extend our best wishes for safe operations and successful voyages to the VOS Glory and her crew.
