SeaBird Exploration, a prominent player in the seismic industry, has successfully secured extensions on two of its current vessel contracts. The Voyager Explorer, currently engaged in an ocean bottom node survey across Asia, has had its contract extended for an additional 90 days, now lasting until March. Importantly, there is also an option to further extend this contract by an extra 30 days if needed. Similarly, the Osprey Explorer, which is conducting a comparable ocean bottom node survey in the Americas, has seen its contract extended by approximately 180 days. After the Voyager Explorer's contract wraps up in March, the vessel is set to embark on a new survey in the region, ensuring operational continuity until mid-April 2019.
