On the morning of June 19, 2018, the 'Wilson Dublin' encountered a malfunction with its fuel injection pump while navigating from Sagunto to Waterford. The incident occurred at coordinates 50°20'08" N and 006°48'05" W, approximately 28 miles northwest of the Isles of Scilly. The vessel, which had a crew of seven on board, was transporting 3,460 metric tonnes of non-dangerous ammonium nitrate at the time. Technicians estimated that repairs or a full replacement of the pump would take roughly two hours. Fortunately, by 4 a.m., the ship was back in operation and continued its journey.
