On September 14 at approximately 0004 hours UTC, the bulk carrier 'Arklow Resolve', identified by IMO number 9303410, encountered a cooling system malfunction approximately 25 nautical miles from St. Catherine's Lighthouse, Isle of Wight, at the coordinates 50°18'22N, 001°41'10W. The vessel, which was transporting clinker from Swansea to Ipswich with a crew of seven on board, reported a defect in the gasket of its cooling system. Fortunately, repairs were estimated to take about 30 minutes.
