Ziton, the Danish operator specializing in offshore wind operations, has successfully secured the MPI Enterprise jack-up vessel from Vroon under a bareboat charter agreement. This strategic acquisition commenced on May 28, 2019, and continues until March 31, 2021, enhancing Ziton's capabilities in the offshore maintenance sector. The MPI Enterprise, known for its robust operational features, will play a pivotal role in supporting Ziton’s ongoing and future projects.

In a maritime incident that unfolded on September 29, 2016, at approximately 4:10 p.m., the German dredger 'Hegemann 4' (IMO-No.: 8121044) encountered a significant allision with the 'MPI Enterprise' while the latter was moored at Strom Quay in Bremerhaven. During operations, the dredger, while maneuvering off the quay, inadvertently struck the foreship of the jack-up vessel, resulting in a breach measuring 30 centimeters in length on the hull of the MPI Enterprise. Following the incident, the jack-up vessel was detained for essential repairs. Fortunately, the Hegemann 4 sustained damage to its superstructure and railing, but it managed to resume operations shortly thereafter. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the actions of the dredger's captain regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.

MPI Offshore proudly announces that its state-of-the-art wind-turbine-installation vessel, the MPI Enterprise, has successfully completed its inaugural charter since joining the MPI fleet. This achievement follows the company's acquisition of the vessel earlier this year. The MPI Enterprise has played a crucial role as the installation vessel for E.ON's Amrumbank West Offshore Wind Farm, working closely with E.ON contractor Per Aarslef. Following these essential preparatory operations, another MPI vessel, the MPI Adventure, will take over for the wind turbine generator (WTG) installation. The Amrumbank West Offshore Wind Farm is strategically located approximately 35 kilometers north of Helgoland and 37 kilometers west of Amrum, within the German Exclusive Economic Zone of the North Sea. Once fully operational later this year, the wind farm is expected to generate an impressive annual capacity of 288 megawatts, capable of supplying power to around 300,000 households.
