The Woodside Rogers tanker docked at Ain Sokhna terminal in Egypt on Thursday, following its departure from Dampier port on May 12, as per ship-tracking data from Bloomberg. The vessel carries a substantial 159,760-cubic-metre cargo, sourced from Dampier, a key loading hub for the Pluto and North West Shelf LNG export facilities.

The maritime industry is witnessing a significant advancement with the upcoming launch of the Woodside Rogers, the inaugural vessel from a fleet of seven tri-fuel LNG carriers. Constructed by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) in South Korea for Maran Gas, the gas shipping division of the renowned Greek Angelicoussis Shipping Group Limited, this state-of-the-art carrier is equipped with cutting-edge propulsion technology. The Woodside Rogers will enter service in July 2013, marking the first delivery against a total order scheduled to be completed between now and 2015. Featuring an electric drive system powered by tri-fuel engines, this carrier can operate on natural gas, marine diesel gas, or heavy fuel oil. This versatility not only enhances operational efficiency but also provides cost-saving opportunities for operators by allowing them to select the most economical fuel option available.
