Euroseas Ltd, the shipping powerhouse based in Greece, proudly announced the acquisition of its latest asset, the Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier named M/V Xenia. This impressive vessel was officially delivered on February 26 from the reputable Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Co., located in China. Designed with eco-efficiency in mind, the M/V Xenia boasts an impressive carrying capacity of 82,000 deadweight tonnage (dwt), making it a noteworthy addition to Euroseas' fleet. In a strategic move, the company has also secured a two-year time charter for its container carrier Evridiki G. The M/V Xenia is set to embark on a time charter agreement that will last until January 2020, earning a competitive gross daily rate of $14,100. Notably, there is an option for the charterer to extend this contract for an additional year at a slightly higher gross daily rate of $14,350. This development marks a significant milestone in Euroseas' ongoing efforts to enhance its operational capabilities and commitment to sustainability in maritime operations.
