In a significant development in the maritime industry, Eco Carriers Maritime, based in Greece, has successfully acquired the 2010-built supramax bulk carrier Krania from fellow Greek company Neda Maritime. This acquisition has been confirmed by leading brokerage firms Seasure Shipbroking and Advanced Shipping & Trading. Industry insiders suggest that Stefanos Gaviotis, at the helm of Econav, is the purchaser of the vessel; however, it is anticipated that Krania will soon join the fleet of Eco Carriers, which operates from the same location. Econav currently manages a fleet consisting of four tankers, while Eco Carriers recently made its inaugural purchase in April, securing the supramax vessel Thrasher from Eagle Bulk for a sum of $10 million, and subsequently renaming it Ecoatlantic. This latest acquisition marks a strategic move for Eco Carriers as it continues to bolster its fleet and enhance its position in the shipping market.

A new time charter has been finalized for a vessel recently delivered in Xiamen. The charter includes a transit through Indonesia before the ship is redelivered to China. Under this agreement, the daily charter rate is set at $8,250. The charter is managed by Tongli, reflecting the ongoing demand for maritime logistics in the region.
