Thankfully, A-La-Marine was able to refloat under its own power shortly thereafter and proceeded to Brunsbüttel for evaluation, where inspections revealed only minor damage to the ship itself. Earlier in January 2012, it was reported that A-La-Marine lost a total of ten 40-foot containers at sea. Salvage operations have since recovered two and a half containers, with the multipurpose vessel 'Neuwerk' successfully retrieving one fully loaded container and debris from a split container on January 7. Additionally, the tug 'Wulf 3' managed to recover another intact container on January 9, delivering it to Cuxport in Cuxhaven.
