Beaumont, a versatile freighter, has been involved in several noteworthy maritime incidents that highlight both operational challenges and the vessel's resilience. On January 13, 2020, while traversing the English Channel bound for Southampton, Beaumont encountered engine trouble caused by a loose bolt on the exhaust manifold cylinder. With seven crew members on board, the master opted to continue at a reduced speed after unsuccessful repairs, while the Solent Coastguard monitored the situation closely until the vessel safely docked at a bulk terminal in Southampton, delivering its cargo of 3,000 tons of scrap. This incident underscored the necessity of quick decision-making in maritime operations, showcasing the skill of the crew in handling unforeseen difficulties at sea.

Earlier on September 7, 2017, Beaumont suffered an engine failure while navigating the Dardanelles. The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. near Kepez as the vessel was en route from Brake to Constanta. A tug was dispatched to ensure safe handling and the freighter was anchored off Guzelyali for repairs. This situation once again illustrated the critical importance of having sufficient support and resources available to address emergencies that can occur during transit in complex waterways.

Perhaps most striking was the grounding incident near Avilés, which occurred on December 12, 2012. After passing through the estuary without altering course and at a speed of 11.5 knots, Beaumont ran aground on the rocks of Cabo Negro, apparently due to autopilot malfunction. Despite being stranded for ten hours, the vessel was eventually refloated by the tug Maria de Maeztu and was able to dock just two miles away with minimal damage. Underwater inspections revealed only a dent on the starboard side, and importantly, no oil spill occurred, thanks to the vessel's precise landing on a flat stone slab that mitigated damage. The crew remained on board throughout, ensuring safety with no injuries reported.
