On March 25, 2024, an incident occurred at Türkeli anchorage in Istanbul when the cargo m/v 'SK Friendship' (IMO: 8909446), which was traveling from Izmail to Istanbul, collided with the moored vessel 'Ada'. The precise location of the allision was recorded at coordinates 41° 16.73' N and 029° 00.32' E. In response to the situation, the lifeboat 'KEGM-8' from the General Directorate of Coastal Safety, part of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, was promptly dispatched to the scene of the incident. Fortunately, while both vessels sustained damage, authorities reported that there was no evidence of environmental pollution resulting from the collision.
