Engine Failure Strands Cargo Ship, Towed to Tuzla for Urgent Repairs
The cargo vessel 'Ada Zeynep' encountered engine troubles while navigating near Tuapse on December 28, 2017, while making its way to Tuzla. On January 15, 2018, the tugboat 'Marintug I' was commissioned to tow the disabled ship to the Tuzla shipyard after all necessary towage approvals were finalized. During the transit through the Istanbul Strait, a Coastal Safety tug was deployed to ensure safe passage and assist with traffic management. The 'Ada Zeynep' reached Tuzla at 1:18 PM on January 21 and subsequently departed on March 2, setting its course for Kerch.
