Siam Success Refloated After Grounding Incident in Kitakyushu

On December 14, 2019, the bulk carrier 'Siam Success', arriving from Laem Chabang, encountered an unfortunate grounding at the Mutsure Quarantine Anchorage in Kitakyushu, Japan. The incident occurred at approximately 7:20 p.m. but, thanks to prompt response efforts, the vessel was successfully refloated with the help of a tug by 10 p.m. The following morning, on December 15 at 5:30 a.m., 'Siam Success' resumed its journey, safely berthing in Tobata. This event underscores the importance of maritime safety and the efficient response capabilities present in the Kitakyushu port area.
