Until further notice, these vessels will not be allowed to re-enter the San Juan Harbour unless they can satisfactorily demonstrate compliance with established industry mooring standards, ensuring they do not interfere with safe navigation within the harbour's limited waterways. Under Title 46 USC § 70036, any violations of these orders can result in significant penalties, with a maximum civil fine of $117,608 for each day of non-compliance. It's important to note that the Mediterranean mooring method is only allowed when vessels and their anchors do not encroach upon navigable channels.
