Disabled Bulk Carrier Successfully Towed to Piraeus
On February 3, 2016, the bulk carrier 'Infinity 5' experienced engine failure while navigating the Mediterranean Sea, approximately south of Karpathos, as it was making its way from Odessa to Chittagong. Following the engine malfunction, the vessel began to drift, prompting assistance from the tug 'Ionion Pelagos,' which took the 'Infinity 5' in tow on February 5. After a tow duration of several days, the ship was successfully moored at the roads of Piraeus on February 13.
