The shipment, sourced from Salalah, had become wet during transit, prompting fears of a potential explosion due to hydrogen emissions. To ensure safety, the ship's holds required filling with inert gas to neutralize the hazardous combination of hydrogen and oxygen. After the incident, the 'Lintan' set sail once more on January 5, 2020, at 10:30 AM, with Hamburg as its destination and an expected arrival on January 7. On January 6, the vessel was anchored off Skagen, in position 57° 38.30' N 010° 41.54' E.
